Swiss artist and designer, based in London, UK
With a focus on process, my work is composed through constant play: moments paying attention to light in a space and interacting with shadows or collecting and studying small architectural details to recreate new landscapes through sculpture and collage. I enjoy slow progress and the time spent carving stones or cutting and assembling pieces of paper and images to create visual narratives.
I alternate between two-dimensional image-making, three-dimensional structures. Drawing upon my background in spatial design and jewellery making, I create small structures - miniature spaces carved in stone or delicately made of paper. My structures interact with space and light and I capture moments.
My work is a filter to look at the world. I explore the notion of atmosphere and in sharing my practice through installations, workshops, lectures and gatherings, I invite the viewer/participant the see through my lens and in turn, to find delight in getting lost in the moment.
I am also a Lecturer at the University of the Arts London. In my teaching practice, I focus on conveying atmosphere and introducing play as a creative process in workshops and one-to-one conversations. My role centres on supporting students in finding their creative path and confidence.
